The Exceptional Foundation is putting on their biggest fundraiser of the year. The 16th Annual Chili Cook-Off is happening Saturday, March 7th, 2020 in the Upper Parking Lot at Macy’s Brookwood Village. The Chili Cook-Off has over 100 teams compete for the title of Chili Cook-Off Champion, with over 10,000 people attending the event to support The Exceptional Foundation and enjoy good chili.
Former competitor Grayson Hill portrayed his experience as “There is truly nothing like waking up at 5am under a March morning rain to create a masterpiece that is 15 gallons of chili perfection,” Hill said.
“Every ingredient whispers tones of something unique and special. Then for everything to culminate into seeing others indulge in your finished product…what more could you want?”
Attendees will be able to taste all the different varieties of chili, and then voting for “People’s Choice Winner.”
There are more reasons to visit the 16th Annual Chili Cook-Off than just an excuse to hang out with friends and family while eating some of the best chili in Birmingham! All proceeds directly benefit The Exceptional Foundation, a non-profit organization that is focused on enhancing the lives of those with special needs. More than 700 men and women are helped in Birmingham because of donations and attendees of the Chili Cook-Off.
